Building Regulations – Part L – Conservation of Fuel and Power
In December 2021 Part L came into force. Part L has lowered the U-Value and Energy Ratings on windows and doors. This is for both new builds and renovations. The aim is to create even more energy efficient windows and reduce energy consumption.
How are the products measuring up
Presently many of these figures can be made by upgrading the glazing units, figures implied for 2025 may mean that the redesign of window systems is inevitable.
